From the chair…
Welcome to our first Wolverhampton South West Labour Members’ Newsletter.
At a time when we would normally be extremely busy in our communities campaigning for the local elections, Labour Party candidates for the Police and Crime Commissioner and West Midlands Metro Mayor we are isolated at home.
We also have a new Labour Party Leadership team in place and members will have varying views about the Shadow Cabinet and their hopes (or concerns) for the future direction of the Party. In normal times we would have a chance to exchange views face-to- face. In the absence of these opportunities, we hope you agree the newsletter is a good way to keep in touch with each other and discuss issues.
We hope you enjoy the newsletter’s mix of news, information and opinion and find it an entertaining read. We are aiming to publish a monthly edition whilst coronavirus restrictions last.
We welcome your views on the newsletter’s content. Please let us know if you would like to see anything else in it, if you disagree with what’s written in the articles, or if there is a national or local policy issue you would like featured in a future edition. You can send us a few sentences and/or a link to an article that expresses your views.
Wolverhampton SW CLP Executive Committee hopes that you are all keeping safe and well and thanks all the committed hardworking NHS, Social Care Staff and all other front line staff keeping our essential
